| Description | PTHR2 / PTH2R Antibody (aa99-116) LS-C41551. The extracellular domain 1 of parathyroid hormone receptor 2. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor family, particularly abundant in the brain and pancreas. It may be responsible for PTH effects in a number of physiological systems and may play a significant role in pancreatic function. Binds parathyroid hormone, but shows very low affinity for PTHrP. This molecule is expressed in only a few tissues, and its structure and physiologic significance are poorly characterized. Type 2 receptor, is coupled to adenylyl cyclase, ligand binding induces a rise in intracellular concentration of cyclic AMP. PTH-Rec 2 (99-116) 100% PTH-Rec 1 (63-82) 0.06% PTH-Rec 1 (562-580) 0.4%. |
